Taipei is located in the Taipei Basin in northern Taiwan and is bordered on the south by the Sindian River, and the Danshuei on the west. Taipei is part of a subtropical zone with the average temperature of 22ºC. There is no severe cold in winter and no brutal summer heat. Summers are warm and humid with a maximum temperature of 29ºC and sudden rain showers frequently occur. You may need suncreem and umbrella sometimes.

The fall is the best time of Taipei with a cool temperature of 23ºC. Taiwan is a humid region. The northern part, middle mountain area and western plain are abundant with rainfalls in different periods. June to October is the typhoon season in Taiwan, with July to September offering the most activities to experience. From June to October is the typhoon season with July to September experiencing the most activity. A sweater and a jacket are all the preparation required for a winter in Taiwan. Spring and autumn are peak seasons for travelers.
