Rongjiang Climate

Rongjiang is a famous county located in the southeast of Guizhou Miao and Dong Autonomous Perfecture. Across the Pearl River, Yangtze River Basin, the county is located in the middle reaches of the Liujiang River and the Wing-ping, Zhaihao River Interchange. The county enjoys the sub-tropical humid climate with four distinct seasons and annual temperature around 16 degrees celsius with an upper limit of 26 degrees celsius at the height of summer and a coldest point of 3 degrees celsius. The county is famous for the

minority villages and cultural relics, which are regarded as the highlights of the county. The county is not only famous for the minority villages, but also famous for the abundant rainfall and longer frost-free periods there. The annual rainfall is around 1,200 mm and the frost-free period is around 300 days. There is an old saying that "there is no three continuing sunny days there.", which can be regarded as the best description of the climate in the southeast Guizhou. Rongjiang county has almost six months rainy season each year and guests need to take the umbrella or raincoat before their trip in Guizhou.
