Guilin Climate

With the mild subtropical climate, a mild temperature and plenty of rainfall, it is a pleasant place to visit Guilin at any time of the year. Summer is the hottest season in Guilin, with plenty of sunny weather to go round and temperatures regularly topping 30C / 86F. The wettest months tends to be April, May and June. The rain will abate the hot weather, bringing cool summer nights. January and February may experience the coldest weather, with the temperatures around a very favorable 18C / 64F. In theory, the best time to visit Guilin is from August to October, when the weather conditions are most favorable. Especially during the so-called slack season (October to December),

many interesting activities are held there. Traveling during this time to taste the profound local customs is a pretty good idea. If you don't mind the wet weather, from April to July, you can enjoy the fantastic rainy sceneries in Guilin, but umbrella is always a sensible item of your luggage during that period. Similar conditions may also happen in January or February during the Spring Festival. About clothing, a sweater is for spring and autumn, while a short-sleeved shirt for summer, and warmer clothes should be prepared for the winter.
